What Is Really Happening In Our Schools Today?   Did you know that California ranks 43^rd in the nation in per capita student spending and last in staff/ student ratios? We need to know what kind of education our grandkids and great grandkids are receiving in this education climate.

All of these issues and much more will be covered at our monthly program February 27 at 7PM in the Lake View Clubhouse.

Ms. Shari Stewart, a career educator and Governing Board Member of the Palm Springs Unified School District, will be here to share with us what is really going on at the local and state level in California. Ms Stewart has also served on the board of the Riverside County School Board’s Association and as a member of the California School Board Association. As such she offers us a wealth of experience from the classroom to the board room.

Every month for the past twelve years Shari has visited a school in her district to see firsthand how her district spends its declining dollars (now $173 million annually). Ms. Stewart brings a vigorous and optimistic approach to how and what our children are learning and what we can do to help.
